Constable in District Cadre: 2016

Constable in Armed Cadre: 2346

Educational Qualification

Candidates have 10+2 or it’s equivalent from a recognised education board / university

Physical Screening Test

Constable Male: Minimum Height: 5 feet 7 inches | Race- 1600 m in 6 minutes & 30 seconds ( 1 chances) | Long Jump: 3.80 m ( 3 chances) | High Jump: 1.10 m ( 3 chances)

Constable Female : Minimum Height: 5 feet 2 inches | Race- 800 m in 4 minutes & 30 seconds ( 1 chances) | Long Jump: 3.00 m ( 3 chances) | High Jump: 0.95 m ( 3 chances)

Selection Procedures 

Exam: OMR based test and a Physical Screening Test, PST.  

The written exam will most likely have 100 Multiple Choice Questions, MCQs and 1 mark would be awarded for every correct answer.  

However, 0.25 marks would be deducted for very wrong answer.  

The written test will be conducted before the Physical Screening Test and only the candidates clearing the test will be eligible for the PST.  

Candidates must also note that no candidate will be eligible for the written test unless they have passed the Matriculation exam with Punjabi or any other equivalent exam in Punjabi language which may be specified by the Punjab government from time to time.
